So what is the algorithm?
It may look daunting to non-mathematicians, but the PageRank algorithm is in fact elegantly simple and is calculated as follows:
PR(A) = (1-d) + d (PR(T1)/C(T1) + ... + PR(Tn)/C(Tn))
where PR(A) is the PageRank of a page A
PR(T1) is the PageRank of a page T1
C(T1) is the number of outgoing links from the page T1
d is a damping factor in the range 0 < d < 1, usually set to 0.85
The PageRank of a web page is therefore calculated as a sum of the PageRanks of all pages linking to it (its incoming links), divided by the number of links on each of those pages (its outgoing links).

1. Panda #25 — March 14, 2013
Matt Cutts pre-announced a Panda update at SMX West, and suggested it would be the last update before Panda was integrated into the core algorithm. The exact date was unconfirmed, but MozCast data suggests 3/13-3/14.
2. Panda #24 — January 22, 2013
Google announced its first official update of 2013, claiming 1.2% of queries affected. This did not seem related to talk of an update around 1/17-18 (which Google did not confirm).
Cei de la google au decis sa refaca un nou update pentru EMD, ceea ce este necesar pentru google, dar pe langa EMD s-a mai efectuat update si pentru Pinguin si Panda.
"The EMD Update - for "Exact Match Domain" - is a filter Google launched in September 2012 to prevent poor quality sites from ranking well simply because they had words that match search terms in their domain names. When a fresh EMD Update happens, sites that have improved their content may regain good rankings. New sites with poor content - or those previously missed by EMD - may get caught. In addition, “false positives” may get released."
In google.ro au aparut unele domenii noi cu TLD gen .co sau .eu ce incalca politicile EMD, dar google a considerat ca au prioritate, fara sa dea un raspuns, dar aici s-a gresit enorm, pentru ca acest aspect este destul de important in motoarele de cautare, cele care aduc banii de supravietuire pentru multe companii care sunt pe primele locuri in google.
Cu acest update au crezut ca vor face o treaba buna, dar se pare ca au dat peste cap strategia lor de promovare si binenteles a multor companii care au avut de pierdut.
